This completely depends on the amount of tuition the school is asking for. Every school is different, with local community colleges usually being the least expensive.
Be sure to check that your online school is properly accredited and that the school is not a 'for-profit' institution (a school run to make money off you, rather than for the betterment of education for our young people).
Though these schools can still issue degrees, some employers may find them even less credible than a local community college.

There are Associates degrees as an Registered nurse, in Technology, Educating, multiple Allied Health fields, and the list goes on, and on, and on.
