I give my syrain hamster the specialised treats and he has never gotten ill. On the package there are the reccomended daily allownce....I think a syrian hamster can have around 3 chocolate hamster treats per day.

∙ 10y agoNever. Chocolate is poisonous to hamsters and it may kill them. Chocolate is also toxic to other common pets, such as dogs, cats and hedgehogs. Be sure to check with the ASPCA list of toxic substances before giving your pet anything outside of "hamster food".
