Although the stone age was a long time ago (in some parts of the world it progressed to the bronze age about 8000 years ago) the stone age persists in some form, in some isolated parts of the world, even today (although the remaining stone age tribes are dwindling as civilization encroaches) so we do have a pretty good idea of how people lived and what they did. When a large animal such as a buffalo, an elk, etc., is successfully hunted and killed, there is a feast. This is very logical because the stone age has little or no technology or technique by which food can be preserved, so when you have a lot of meat, you have to eat it quickly before it goes bad. Hence, you have a feast.

Stone Age people likely had feasts on special occasions or during times of abundance, such as after successful hunts or during seasonal harvests. The frequency of feasts would have depended on factors such as the availability of food resources and the social and cultural practices of different groups. However, exact details about the frequency of feasts in the Stone Age are difficult to determine due to limited archaeological evidence.
