All of that said, any Catholic who is serious about their faith and trying to follow God will want to attend Confession frequently, a minimum of once every two weeks, or once a month. Any worthwhile spiritual director will tell you that anything less is just not going to help. Most people, when they become serious about their spiritual life go every week. And that really is helpful, but you won't understand until you start to do it.

∙ 15y agoWell, there is no how often, but you should go to confession whenever you feel that you have sinned a lot. I mean, if your will and faith is strong, you may have to only go once, twice a month, but idealy, once a month or two is quite alright. There is no real rule about how often, but one should never take the Eucharist with a heart full of sin. One must be pure in order to accept Christ.
