Depends on where you drive and the type oil you use. If you drive mostly highway and use conventional oil then change it every 6,000 miles. If you drive mostly city then change it every 3,000 miles. If you drive 50/50 city highway then every 5,000 miles is a good comprimise. If you use 100% synthetic oil then every 8,000 miles highway and 6,000 miles city driving. If you make lots of short trips that are less than 10 miles then I would recommend every 4,000 miles. Also if you drive in dusty conditions then change it more often. Always change the filter at the same time you change the oil.
Every 2000 miles
A 1999 Chevy Suburban needs a tune-up every 25,000 miles. This ensures the vehicle operates at peak efficiency at all times.
It is important to check the fuses of a car, every so often. The location of the 1993 Chevy Suburban fuse box is on the driver side, under the dashboard.
When you begin to see signs of excess wear, fraying, cracking, or other damage.
If they are platinum plugs, should be every 95,000 to 100,000 miles.
It is best to change the oil after every 6000 miles. The most important thing is to follow the recommendations for your car.
How often should you change the fuel filter?
Should change the filter at least 2 times a year. Remeber the fuel is always being pasted thru the filter. But if you get to it once a year that is better then not doing it.
Unless there is something wrong with it (there shouldn't be), you should never have to replace the timing chain. That's the beauty of chevy.
Follow the recommendations in your owners manual or change it every 5,000 miles.
I personally change my fuel filter on all my vehicles every other oil change. But my fuel filters are about 5 to 10 bucks. Unless yours is outrageously expensive you should consult your owners manual. It will never hurt to change as often as you want but not to replace it often enough will result in poor gas mileage an maybe damage to the fuel pump itself. Plus you will have a lack of performance an a sluggish feeling when accelerating. Your owner's manual list the scheduled maintenance on the fuel filter. Fuel today is pretty clean so changing it every other oil change is overkill but will not hurt. It is just a waste of money. I would recommend every 50,000 miles unless the owners manual states more often.
as often as needed
