Hitler started WWII (World War Two) in 1939. And it ended in 1945. But before the war ended Hitler knew he would lose and the world would be out to get him. So he commited suicide. Nobody really knows how he really killed himself, though. Some say he shot himself others say he burned himself.

Hitler started the Holocaust and, by connection, WWII with Kristallnacht. Kristallnacht (literally translated to "Cristal Night" in German) is commonly known as the "Night of Broken Glass." On November 9th and 10th in the year 1938, Nazis in Germany, annexed Austria, and parts of the Sudetenland in Czechoslovakia, burned over 1000 synagogues; trashed over 7000 Jewish businesses; killed dozens of Jewish people; and destroyed their cemeteries, hospitals, schools, and homes. Police and firemen stood by watching. Kristallnacht is known as the "Night of Broken Glass" because of the shattered glass from the Jewish-stores' windows that littered the streets on November 11th.

Kristallnacht is what most people consider to be the beginning of the Holocaust and of WWII.
