The fan resistor on the Ford Focus is behind the glovebox. You need to carefully lower the glovebox so you can gain access to the motor, but this can be done without actually removing it, just prise it down gently. Once in, the motor is on the righ hand side as you look in, behind the centre console. Using a torch you shold see the original resistor in place and from here on it should be simple, if a little tight.
the blower fan resistor is located in behind the glove compartment to the left of the blower motor. you have to remove glove compartment to get at resistor.
Bad blower resistor?

where is the switch resistor on 2003 buick
I'm not a mechanic, but I do believe if you bypass the resister you will only have high speed on the fan. To that end, if the resister is your problem you should already have only high speed on the fan.
hi the resistor may not be gone it might be the brushes in the Fan motor if it works on 3 -4 setting then dies the resistor is on the left behind glove box remove glove box you will see grey part this is resistor to remove fan take of cover first then turn fan to right it comes out then check brushes if worn replace fan from scrap yard

Checked fuse and its OK. Also checked for power to fan (no power). Could it be this blower resistor or blower relay?
on the radiator fan
Check/ replace the blower resistor. Located in the duct work under the hood. Follow the wires from the blower motor to a plug on the duct work. This is the resistor
