open the trunk, then remove all the plastic snap fasteners (they are all 2 piece, remove the center piece with a flathead screwdriver and then once that is out, it looks like a plastic "nail", then remove the larger piece with a flathead screwdriver because the larger piece is actually snapped into the metal). there are about 8-10 of them. once you have them out the entire "carpet like" interior piece will come loose. You can then see up into the area where the license plate bulbs are and replace them. You have to replace it by crawling under the bumper. It may be handy to have a flashlight with you. Twist and/or pull the bulb out to replace.
To change that bulb push the bulb down and turn to take out you may need to unscrew the cover first and replace it with the same bulb
Remove the two 10 millimeter screws and pull the housing down and replace the bulb
You need to unscrew the whole cover panel for license plate.
unbolt lens, remove bulb socket quarter turn
Remove screws, remove light assembly, rotate bulb holder counterclockwise & pull out, replace bulb(# 194). Installation is reverse.....
Ask your car dealer...
You need a torx screwdriver....
