If you really mean it when you say you want to lose weight then you are going to have to make the serious decision to do it and there just isn't any easy way to do it but a good well-rounded diet, drinking water, and exercising.
  • You should lose the weight you want in a very healthy manner. If you should get discouraged and only lose a pound on the first try, pick up a pound of butter and that's the fat you have lost.
  • I don't believe there is a way for teenagers to lose weight without changing their eating habots. Being an overweight teen myself, I have to diet and watch what I eat constantly. I've tried just watching what I ate and exercising, but alone they were not enough. If you are willing to go on a diet of any kind, I would recommend weight watchers. It's worked the best for me. You can eat whatever you want but still lose the weight.

Ideally, the approach is best implemented through family participation if possible. Check with a doctor first before significantly changing eating or exercise habits. Here are some suggestions that all work well together.

  • Plan a workout or exercise schedule
  • Eliminate, or strictly limit, apart from the occasional treat, junk food and fast food.
  • Eat plainly grilled/broiled/baked/roasted protein such as (unless vegetarian) chicken and fish (not fried and not coated in batter or breadcrumbs).
  • Eat plenty of fresh vegetables such as spinach, broccoli, etc.
  • Use beneficial fats and oils they are essential for health.
  • Replace sugary snacks or potato chips/crisps with a fresh vegetable snack.
  • Eliminate, or strictly limit, sodas, apart from the occasional treat.
  • Start playing a physically active sport.
  • Go the gym or just exercise at home.
  • Cardio sports and cardio exercises are the best fat burning activities.
  • Cardio exercise is an excellent fat burner.
  • Cardio exercise can be such things as brisk walking, running, jogging, trampolining, cross-country skiing, etc.

  • For safety, a child should always walk, run, jog, etc., with a responsible adult.

The best way for teenagers to lose weight is to NOT DO IT unless they are under the guidance and supervision of a doctor and others who will help to focus on health and well-being, and not the loss of weight for its own sake, or the loss of weight when losing weight is exactly what you need to avoid.

An overweight teen can lose weight by sticking to a diet of healthy foods. This does not mean one doesn't eat, it means one needs to eat fresh fruits, vegetables, white meat, and occasionally red meat. One would also need to do different work out which work on body fat, such as; yoga, running, crunches, and squats.

well, their is no other way. unless you get surgery, which is really risky. look on Google for weight loss surgerys. but i would say just exercise and eat healthy, that's the best you can do.
