After the radiator/engine is cool to touch.
It has a weak spot and will soon rupture. It needs to be replaced before this happens unless you like being stranded on the side of the road.
The car's engine will soon overheat without some kind of fluid in the radiator. I'm taking off my coat before I overheat.
A thermoswitch is the device by the radiator, that switches on the fan as soon as the engine/ radiator reaches a set temperature
radiator fan is supposed to turn on before over heating to draw more air thru radiator and over engine to assist with cooling if fan is not turning on soon enuff , you need a new lower temp fan switch
why service engine soon light on 1999 mustang
To reset the "Service Engine Soon" light in a 1999 Plymouth Voyager, you can disconnect the battery by removing the negative terminal for about 15 minutes. After reconnecting the terminal, the light should reset. Alternatively, you can use an OBD-II scanner to clear the trouble codes, which will also turn off the light. However, ensure that any underlying issues are addressed before resetting the light to avoid potential engine problems.
A leak can turn major in a hurry. If it overheats just a little too much it will ruin the engine. Have it fixed as soon as possible
You will notice two lines going to your radiator from the transmission. One is a service line and one is a return line. The radiator has a transmission cooler built into it. If you have trans fluid in the radiator chances are the trans cooler is leaking. A little trans fluid in the radiator will not affect engine cooling BUT as soon as the pressure drops in that transmission you may very well have radiator coolant sucked into the tranmission and that will ruin a transmission in a hurry. You need to get this checked out as soon as possible.
Look down as soon as you open the hood!
I would start with the the fan relay swith... swap it with another. It could be stuck in the open position. Try removing it and then starting.
There is a large cooling system leak.
By removing them as soon after death as possible, and then by keeping them cool.
