There are 4 bolts that hold the hood onto the back hinges, loosen 2 bolts at a time on just one side and the hood will slide back and forth, it helps to have 2 people doing the job but you just keep moving the hood around on both sides until you get it where you want it, have patience.
I bought a 2006 hood for my 2004 GTO and it fit perfectly. No problem what so ever.
The only GTO that came with a shaker hood was the model year 1974.
Short answer is no. The '64 was one year only, came to a point at the grill that was integrated into the shape of the hood. '65 hood will fit '66 and '67.

I would assume so. I have a Chevy 454 in my 68 GTO, and it fits fine. I just used chevelle Motor Mounts. Bolted right to the a-body frame. However my hood on the 68 might have more room from the ram air set up.
Pontiac, GTO.
The Hood Tach was an option from 1967 through at least 1972, possibly through 74. The rear spoiler was standard on the Judge models only but could be dealer installed.
