It depends on whether your model has a Phillips screw to release the lock module. If not there are coat hanger type clamps inside to hold it on. First remove the door panel by gently popping the plugs along the edge. Next remove the trim at the upper most edge by just popping it off with a screwdriver. Finally, by using a bent screwdriver & lots of patience pop the C clamp of the door handle. When all these items are removed you can get access to replace or repair the inside door handle. (JB WELD works well on broken plastic when parts are unavailable) Answer Not sure about the Metro, but on my Prizm, it has a small wire clip behind the handle that has to come off. Just take a shop rag or even a washcloth and gently move it in a side to side motion and work it under the back side of the handle where it meets the door panel and that should pop it right off. You may have to turn it some in order to get the rag under the open end of the clip. Just have a little patience and it'll come off.
