IIRC, the 5.9 Liter Cummins uses a glow grid, not glow plugs. It is mounted right in the intake line after the turbo charger. Disconnect it, turn the key on, and see if it gets hot. Jim
You use a scan tool to check for codes. Then you know what to test.
Take the glow plugs out and test with a link wire from live from battery to tip were wires normally connect earth the body of plug on battery post.if works will glow.Hot body watch it.If ones down car won,t start
There could be many reasons why your 1994 6.5 turbo diesel is having these issues. Your fuel filter could be bad or you may be having a fuel leak. Also, the flow may be restricted at your TEE valve. You can test this by doing a lift pump test.?æ
You can test them with an Ohm meter. Make sure all 4 have the same resistance or if no resistance then you've found the bad one(s).
