How to change a manual to automatic transmission in Freightliner Truck?

Trade your truck in. I just read Eaton's installation instructions for their automatic transmissions. The short answer is, the truck has to be designed around this transmission because the transmission talks to so many things on your rig.
Asking this question on here leads me to believe that you're probably not equipped to do this job yourself. Best to leave it to a properly equipped shop, especially as reprogramming of the ECM is going to be necessary for this swap to be effective (plus you have to make sure the transmission is compatible of the version of software your engine ECM is running, beforehand).
