Hey George==A modulator valve is on the trans and tells the trans when to shift. If the trans gets to shifting crazy you might change the modulator. GoodluckJoe
the modulator valve does not have a screw, however, the modulator located outside the modulator valve may or may not have one.
on thepass side of the transmission pan.it has a hose connected to it.
Never heard of a modulator valve on a caravan is it for the trans? Chrysler transmisions do not have modulator valves
That year does not have a modulator valve, The transmission is controled by the computor.
yes, that can happen.
If your transmission has a modulator it is on the side of the trans and it has a nipple on it for the vaccum line. I you. Mark
There is a modulator on some transmissions. If yours has a vacuum line going to the trans, it connects to the modulator and you simply remove the bolt holding it and pull it out.
in the trans should have a vacuume line hooked to it
most overdrive transmissons no longer have modulator valves they are computer controlled.
Starting with the 1995 Ford Explorer the automatic transmissions are electronically controlled ( I'm not a mechanic / technician but as far as I know it doesn't have a modulator valve )
Newer models like yours do not have a modulator on the trans; they are computer controlled. If you are having shifting problems I would suggest you change your trans fluid and filter; that should clear up shifting problems if it seems to stick in a lower gear. I hope this helps you. Mark
