I really doubt that there is a drain plug for the tranny, usually you have to unbolt the tranny fluid pan and take it down to get to the filter and drain the fluid.
According to the 2006 Ford Mustang Owner Guide : The ( 5R55S ) automatic transmission does not have a fluid level dipstick
oil and tranny fluid replacement
I just replaced my 2006 corolla S tranny fluid at 68K, after the check engine light turned on. It was jet black. Took it to my mechanic, he said at least between 30K-60K. Virgin tranny fluid is bright red, close to purple. He said, the moment the fluid starts turning black, change it ASAP. Because when you drain the fluid, only about 3.5 Quarts are drained and the rest (about 1.5Q dirty fluid) stays inside. Do the complete transmission flush if you wanna get rid ALL of the dirty fluid, but don't do it often. Maybe after 3-4 regular tranny fluid oil change, then the 5th time do a complete flush.
