The water pump is behind the smooth pulley up top closest to the front of the car.

1) Warm engine fully.

2) Stop engine.

3) Drain coolant.

4) Slightly loosen water pump pulley bolts. If necessary, us a long open-end wrench on one bolt (2 mm larger than correct size) to hold the pulley from turning while using a correctly fitting 6-point socket to loosen another bolt.

5) Loosen the belt tensioner and remove the belt.

6) Unbolt and remove the water pump.

7) Use scotch-brite to remove any old gasket material.

8) Position new pump and gasket in place and install the (five?) bolts.

9) Position pulley in place and snug up four bolts.

10) Reinstall belt and tighten pulley bolts fully.

11) Fill cooling system. You should use a vacuum type fill tool if available, otherwise be sure to remember to open the bleeders.
