Top off the fluid, then look for leaks at the pump, in the hoses and at the rack and pinion. Power Steering pumps produce high pressure. Any leaks should be very obvious. You might need a flashlight to see down into the engine compartment.
Before you check for leaks, you might want to wipe down the pump and the hoses so you know that any fluid you see is from a current leak.
For what it's worth, I had a power steering leak in my '96. I tried all the major fluid brands that claimed they would stop leaks. They didn't, so I just kept pouring fluid into the car at the rate of a pint every couple of days.
One day while I was at Albertson's, I picked up a quart of Eagle No Leak. It's from the folks who bring us Stabil fuel stabilizer. It stopped the leak after just a couple of top offs! Thousands of miles later, I still have no leak. I highly recommend Eagle.
You will find it in a bright yellow/gold colored bottle. Stabil claims that all the major parts houses carry it, but I've never seen it in Autozone or Checker. Maybe they don't like to sell it because it works so well? If you don't find it, check Albertsons or your local big supermarket.
If it helps you as well as it helped me, it might just be a $3.00 fix to your problem.
NOTE: you might want to wear gloves and eye protection when you check for leaks.

I've been trying to find this out for my Pontiac. The best I got was the answer at eHow.com. Here's the link http://www.ehow.com/how_11205_convert-power-windows.html Hope that helps -KV
You can find the 2005 Pontiac Sunfire air filter the inside of the air filter housing.. The air filter housing will be in the engine compartment.
you will find the fuel port behind your power steering pump.
Check the "convenience center" located near the driver's side kick panel. If you don't find it there, it may be inside the steering column housing. FriPilot
Autozone.com has the diagrams you need
I had the same issue with a 99 Pontiac sunfire and i i had to replace the ignition switch on the inside of the steering column i think the part was around $25-30 dollars its relatively easy to do the swap but the hardest part is gonna be to find the T$ star bit scoket you will need to take the old one out
Probably at the power steering pump. You will find that at the side of the engine that has your drive belts, most likely at the passenger's side and toward the back and top of the engine.
the power steering in my g6 is faulty, i went to look for the fluid location and could not find it either and when I did my research online I found out that g6's have electrical power steering... Their is alot of complaints online about 2005-2006 g6's and power steering being faulty with this new technology.
The cap is located on the power steering reservoir. If you have a 3800 V6 then the pump is located on the rear passenger side of the engine. It is difficult to see the reservoir. Remember the power steering pump is driven by the crankshaft pulley so the serpantine belt drives it. Find the pump and you can find the reservoir.
