Check the speed sensor.
A Toyota Camry can hold 6.7 quarts of coolant when it is bone dry. You should add the needed liquid so that it reads at full at all times.
Unless you have a broken speedometer, you are traveling at 55 mph.
Yes it has 2 speed sensors. On is in the trans. And the other is in the speedometer head.
Yes. The speedometer reads off the transmission tail shaft, and the speedometer is geared (in a mechanical system) or programmed (in an electronic system) accordingly.
I have a 2004 Honda Civic. The Speedometer rests at 35 MPH and when traveling at 55 MPH, it reads 85MPH.
It reads instantaneous speed, and tells you nothing about average speed.
You may have to check the wiring and connections. It may be a damaged wire or a loose connection in the dash. It might even be the actual speedometer in with the guage cluster. Hope this helps some.
I have a problem with my 2 door Toyota rav4 2002 fuel gauge. it reads empty when in fact it is partly full. When filled up at pumps it then reads only half full. What can I do to fix this.
if you have changed the tires to a different size than what was factory size this will throw the speedo out if your car is computerized this can be corrected at mechanic shop if tires are not the problem and no computer, i would say it is more likely to be the speedo head or the actual speedo cable
The speedometer on the Fiat punto Mk1 was made with a speedo that reads 5 mph min. There is a needle stopping the speedo from going below this, so you dont need to "fix" anything as this is standard.
Press and hold the trip set knob (inside the speedometer) until it reads 0000, and while holding it try to turn the ignition key to acc. DO NOT START the engine. The messege will clear
It reads instantaneous speed, and tells you nothing about average speed.
