You continue to treat them the way you want to be treated. They are people who deserve respect, kindness and to know their desires and thoughts matter. I can't imagine how horrible it must be to have spent a lifetime working, loving and making a difference only to be warehoused away; where you don't have any control over the smallest decisions about your life.
