well a tune up is really spark plugs, wires, and i think that might be it!!
well its more then that, also air filter, fuel filter, oil filter and an oil change.. also any belts that might have exceeded the suggested milage

It depends on how you tune it. If you tune GTO right, it can become the beast. Other good cars are Nissan skyline, Honda civic, RSX, etc.
Just spark plugs, make sure they are gapped correctly .044".

I perform diesil engine tune up to avoid engine trubol
If the check engine light is on take it to auto zone and have the codes read free. Of no light it needs a tune up.
