there are no front wheel bearings in front wheel drive cars To correctly answer your question yes, there are front wheel bearings--in fact I am going to have to have mine replaced. In the Mercury Topaz book from Haynes they do not reccommend that you do them yourself. I'm thinking that a special press is used for it. Puglet
