I have just done this to my 2006O odyssey and read another hint regarding a 2002.
Pry open the two plastic covers on the light housing, remove the two screws with a Phillips screw driver, and yank on the light straight back( it does take some effort, I ended up wedging a plastic stick in between the light and the car to get it out!) It has a plastic nipple that clips into the back. Funny, as to get it back into the clip takes no effort at all.
(A plastic putty knife works like a charm to pop the back of the housing out)
1991 Honda what?...... Honda makes a lot of stuff.......
If it is the upper brake light and it is similar to my 99 Odyssey, there is a small square cover on the side of the red plastic lens. Beneath that cover is a screw used to remove the lens, exposing the bulbs. My dealer has snapped off this plastic clip once already, so be careful removing it.
Just pop off the plastic lens... easiest if you pry from the middle.
It's in the owner's manual. You lift the rear hatch and remove the screw holding the lens. Then gently pull the plastic lens toward the rear of the car. The bulb can then be removed and a new one inserted.
The lens comes off. There's two indentations opposite the switch, on the front edge of the lens. Use a small flat bladed screw driver to remove the lens.
Open the rear glass hatch. Remove the screws holding the plastic lens to the body pillar. Pull the lens away from the pillar and remove the bulb socket from the lens housing. Replace the bulb and re-install.
You should be able to access it when you remove the taillight lens from the rear pillar. Open the rear hatch - remove the screws holding the lens housing in place and carefully remove the lens housing from the pillar. The wires leading into the back of the lens housing are attached to the socket. Turn the socket slightly to unlock it and remove the socket and bulb.
For Honda Accord 95: Use small blade screwdriver to gently pry front edge of dome light lens cover off of its retainer. Use fingers or screwdriver to remove lamp bulb. Replace lamp bulb with the same type bulb. Be certain that the size of the new lamp barrel is the same as the old lamp. Reseat the dome light lens cover into its retainer. Note the orientation of 4 tangs on the lens cover that must seat into the lens retainer. Check to verify proper operation of the dome light and its switch.
GET A FLATHEAD SREWDRIVER AND LEVERAGE THE LENS SLOWLY UNTIL ITS OULL OFF. BE CAREFUL NOT TO CRACK THE LENS. ONCE PULLED OUT, ALL LIGHT CAN BE REPLACED.
To change a Honda 300 Fourtrax headlight, first unscrew the lens and remove it, twist the bulb out of the socket, insert a new bulb and then replace the lens.
Open the hatch - exposing the mounting screws going through the plastic lens housing into the body sheet metal. Remove the screws - lift/slide out the lens housing exposing the light socket. Turn socket slightly in housing and remove. Change bulb - Re-assembly is the reverse of removal.
Remove the two screws that hold the lens on, remove the lens and change the bulbs.
