I have found the best way to change this sensor on the 318cid model is from the top. I removed the transmission crossmember and jacked the transmission all the way up to gain more space behind the engine. You will find the sensor on the right side, follow the 3 wire harness and unplug it. Then using a couple of extentions and swivels you can reach behind to feel the bolts and guide the socket on to the bolts. I could not see the bolts at all it was done by feel. Remove the bolts and sensor, then reverse this procedure.

Usually a crankshaft sensor is located on the bellhousing of the transmission
The crank sensor is located on the top of the bell housing on the drivers side.
The crank sensor is located on the back of the engine passenger side it bolts to the flywheel backing plate
On the top of the bell housing. thats the crank position sensor the cam sensor in a 93 is fixed in the distributor to replace it you need a new distributor

A sensor could be the reason why a 94 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo fails to start. The crank position sensor is often the problem. You can try unplugging the sensor for several minutes and then plugging it back in to see if that fixes the problem.
Replace the crank shaft position sensor- located on the top right hand side of the bell housing. Very difficult to replace but it will do all you have described

FROM WHAT I HAD READ, AFTER YOU HAVE TRYED EVERYTHING YOU CAN THINK OF THEN IT IS THE SENSOR..I WOULD SAY IF IT TURNING OVER AND NOT CRANKING AND YOU HAVE FIRE, IT WOULD BE THE SENSOR.....HOPE THIS HELPED

The cam sensor is in the distributor. The crank sensor goes through the top of the bell housing. On the driver side on a 4.0L, pass side on a 5.2L
