Disconnect the ground wire on the corner of the cover, disconnect and move pcv valve along with the breather hoses and move out of the way. Take the cover nuts loose and pry out washers with grommets very gently or use a pair of needle nose pliers. Take a rubber mallot and tapp until the cover comes loose (do not pry with a screw driver, it will damage the surface of the head). Clean valve cover and blow out with compressed air, carefully scrape off and clean head surface that the gasket will set on. (use acetone, lacquer thinner or carb cleaner). Add a bead of RV silicone sealant in the corners where the head casting goes over the cam shaft(4 of them). Take a little contact cement (I took a small brush and spread hytack in the cover groove),then take the gasket and install into the cover groove. Do the same with the spark plug tube seals. Take a break and let it dry for 15 or 20 minutes or so. Install the cover very carefully making sure the gasket and seals stay in place, install the new washers, then the nuts being careful not to overtighten.WHEN THE COVER IS OFF THE ENGINE BE CAREFUL NOT TO DROP ANYTHING INTO THE HEAD, COVER WITH A CLEAN TOWEL TIL THE COVER IS READY TO BE INSTALLED. Hookup the PVC and Breather hoses, the ground wire then take a small break and then start it up and check for leaks. Good Luck

TAke off valve cover then strip off old gasket.. clean entire serface with alcohol or gas or gasket remover. Then buy a new gasket from a local auto shop, along with some gasket sealer... Put on new gasket as old one was taken off. Use gasket sealer on top and bottom or gasket. Just a thin coat. THen place the cover back on with gasket in place and tighten bolts. Let sit for about 24 hours before starting to let the gasket sealer dry.. Should work better then ever.
