I have replaced the alternator then a blinking light came on and says check charging system.
The battery was then switched out, the light continues to blink I had the new alt checked and it is working fine.
Any suggestions?
There is no reset for the charging light. If it is on, then something is wrong. Drive the car to your local auto parts store and have the system checked.
There is no reset for the charging system light. If it is on then you have a problem. More than likely the alternator is defective.
NO. The battery light as you call it is actually the charging system light. If it is staying on the charging system is not working properly. More than likely the alternator has failed. It really has very little to do with the battery.
Warning indicators like a charging system indicator are not something that are "reset." If you have a indicator light that is on, that is a warning light. It's telling you something is wrong, in this case, it is saying that something is wrong with the charging system. It will go out when you get the problem fixed. Likely, you have an generator that is not charging or not charging well enough. If you don't get it fixed, it could leave you stranded somewhere.
reset battery no charge light after battery replacement.
how to reset security system on ford explorer 2004
There is no reset for the light. The light is on because you have a problem with the charging system. Once the problem is corrected the light will go out. Normally the light comes on when the alternator stops functioning.
The light is on because there is a problem with the air bag system. The light will remain on until it is fixed. Once the problem is fixed the light will reset itself.
There is no reset for the battery (charging system) warning light. It is on because there is a problem. Once you repair the problem the light will go out. More than likely the alternator has failed.
You do not reset a battery light. The light is on because there is something wrong with the charging system on the vehicle. In most cases the alternator has failed and needs replacing. Once you fix the problem that caused the light to come on the light will go out.
After the Explorer is scanned for trouble codes to diagnose and then repair the malfunction , then the check engine light can be reset
There is no Reset for this light. The light comes on when the charging system is not working, not necessarily when the battery is bad. If the light is on, then your alternator is more than likely bad. With a voltmeter check the voltage at the battery post with the engine running. It should read between 13-14 volts. If not, then something is wrong. Most Auto Parts stores will check you charging system for free.
