definitely if his talk is TOO smooth.

if he seems like he has all the tricks up his sleeve and knows exactly the right things to say theres a possibility he's practiced, ALOT.

but that's not always true. watch out for guys who are always texting, flirting too much, being too experienced, etc.

also hint hint, if the guy is gorgeous then probably he has lots of girls up his ass,

Players come in different varieties. I've isolated the following -

1) Human type ie capable of feelings type VS Cyborg (unfeeling sociopath)

2) Smooth type VS Carnal type

It is often said that when a man is really interested in a woman, nothing will stand in his way from winning her. The same can be said for a player. So how does one distinguish?

a) Player and Keepers can both come at you the same way. The Player is after sex, the keeper is after a relationship/marriage. Even if you ask, there is no guarantee you will be told the truth. To sort the wheat from the chaff - delay sex. The Player would probably lose interest after a few dates/weeks, the keeper will probably stay it the game. Player doesn't 'invest' emotionally, he doesn't want to spend time getting to know you, building a relationship, solving grievances. He will probably bolt at first sign of difficulty, the keeper will stay and build.

b) Defining the Relationship (DTR): Even if you ask what this is, there is no guarantee you will be told the truth. The Players payoff is sex, he will have it with any kind of woman - woman who want casual, women who want relationships (they would lie and say they want a relationship too), they may even promise marriage. Committment phobic players also are likely to try and put of DTR as long as possible. They use the seduction they used to reel you in and think you are special, to keep you around and string you along for as long as you are afraid of losing him. When confronted at the end, they will say that they were always single; free to do as they please. Keepers of course talk the talk then walk the walk.

c) Players and Keepers both appear to think the world of you. The Players motive is to seduce mentally by professing how wonderful, special, intelligent etc you are so that you have sex with him. The Keeper means it. The Players words are not backed up by actions; he will paint a perfect picture in your mind of the future and things he intends doing with you (give you false hope) but may never do it. When you ask he will put it down to your own misunderstanding, insecurity, deny saying it or claims he can't recall. The Keeper says what he means and his actions back up his words. Lesson: Pay attention to what he does, not what he says.

d) Character: Players are narcistists, sociopaths, users and predators. Self centered, selfish, arrogant and they probably pay a lot of attention to their exteriors eg dressing, physique etc. Players are said to be smooth, attractive and very good dressers. I've met ones who aren't. Only the smooth types are. There is no way to distinguish here except to say that a Keeper is likely to have a more fully developed character, more balanced less self-centred, sense of spirituality, morality, empathy and responsibility for actions. With a keeper you can pick up on his feelings, with a Player there is just emptiness - only a glossy but hollow exterior. They are all about the form not the substance. Keeper is about the substance, less about the form.

e) Sexual style: If you've ever fooled around, pay attention to the sexual style. Smooth players want to pleasure their women as well as themselves and will have had lots of practice bedding their prey. They're into dinners, candlelight and foreplay. Carnal players just want to get to the point, they don't care about all that as long as they get sex how you feel is not their problem. Carnal types are also more likely to pick woman who they identify as 'easy targets' ie low income, average intelligence etc who isn't going to see through him so he can keep her around for sex as long as he wants. A keeper would probably want to connect physically and emotionally.

f) After sex: Because players are only about sex, women are all the same to them, a means to an end. Once they lose interest, they're onto their next victim. To a keeper, sex is only part of what he wants, not all he wants, so he is more likely to stick around to build that. A player quickly disappears.
