Cystitis, or inflammation of the urinary bladder, can be due to several differernt issues. In younger cats, the most likely cause is a bacterial infection, which would be treated with oral antibiotics. In adult cats, bladder stones start becoming more of a problem; these would be treated with surgical removal and a diet change to prevent recurrence. In senior cats, cancer becomes a significant concern; this can be treated somewhat by surgical removal of the cancer and chemotherapy.

cats usually do not get a uti. you need to keep the litter box clean and make sure it has plenty of water. you will have to tell the vet whats wrong and they will give you meds to help it.

You should first go to a veterinarian, or vet to check out specifically what infection it got. If you go there, the vet will probably give you a good medicine for your cat.

Generally you would treat urinary tract infection with antibiotics such as Amoxycillin. Your vet can prescribe the correct amount based on your cat's weight and state of health.
