Given from my past experience in a discussion, Urbanization is the connections between the world. Relating with new technologies that have emerged(transportation, the internet, and communication.) A farmer in an isolated town would sell to the community, but with extras he couldn't sell he would be losing profits. Now with communications this Farmer has potential buyers from outside his town that would gladly pay for the excess food he produced.
