Slash is a legendary guitar player. He was the lead guitarist for Guns N' Roses, until the breakup of that band. He has played in numerous bands, such as Slash's Snakepit and Velvet Revolver. He is the current lead guitarist for Velvet Revolver.

Plus, Slash is just the greatest Guitarist ever to live

Slash (or GNR), have sorta influenced Linkin Park, though not much. You don't hear the style of GNR anywhere else, they're kind of unique.

However, the majority of post-80 Guitarists had Slash as their first influence of starting to play guitar.
