There were thousands of Jews who served honorably in both the German and Allied armies and an even larger number who lived in poverty and were not involved in World War I in any way except as victims. Nazi Propaganda focused on the few Jewish capitalists who might have profited while it completely ignored the rest. Note that if it had not been for World War II, the Jewish community of today would look back at World War I and the Russian Revolution as the worst disaster to befall the Jews since the 17th century and possibly since the Crusades.
