Early airplanes were used for reconnasance and photographing the enemy and spotting for artillery. Then the back seater began to carry small bombs that he dropped over the side. Later, bomb racks were mounted under the larger aircraft to carry bombs. They bombed infantry positions, or buildings of military significance. The first airplane to down a Zeppelin did it by dropping a bomb from above it.
The tank.
To build more effective military bombers
Both were NEW, SLOW, and UNRELIABLE. Tanks were used to break thru barbed wired trenches; and planes were originally used for aerial reconnaissance (scouting) and artillery spotting (adjusting fire).
The Blackout. I am doing a world war 2 project for school. The Blackout in World War 2 started on the 1st of September 1939, 2 days after the outbreak of the war. (WWII) I am still not sure when the Blackout ended. Good Luck with that, thingymabobSeptenber 1, 1939-September 2, 1945
The us during ww2 had really no advanced missles. The Germans had the best and only advanced strike missle, the widely known and feared v-1 and v-2. The Americans used missles as ungided support weapons or rocket artillery in in aircraft tanks and ships as support. In the end the us was limited to small unguided rockets then after Hitler's downfall stole and copied Germany's advanced missles and other designs.
The function of bombers is to bomb the enemy.
The Germans and the allies had bombers in WWI, but not in great numbers. The bomber came into its own in WWII.
In Europe in World War 1. Scouts (with the observer throwing the bombs by hand) and zeppelins were used as bombers, but before the end of the war the bomber had evolved into a task-oriented war machine.

Before World War 1, airplanes were used for recreation. However, during World War 1 airplanes were used for reconnaissance and spying on the enemies. Airplanes were also used as fighter jets and as bombers. Airplanes changed warfare greatly and allowed for blitz attacks and air warfare.
No, the Rockwell B-1 Lancer, also called the B-1 bomber wasn't first officially used by the United State's military until October 1st, 1986, while World War 2 ended in 1945.
Many airplanes were used in WW1. The British had at least 12 kinds of fighters, 10 12 kinds of bombers and many 'observation aircraft. The Germans had many more kinds of fighters , but fewer bombers. The French had many fighters and a few different bombers. Altogether at least 85-100 different aircraft
The Japanese Bombers bombed many ships like the West Virginia, Arizona...
Aircraft were used all through WW1. Both sides started off with unarmed spotter aircraft for ranging artillery and soon progressed to genuine fighters and eventually bombers.
