The us during ww2 had really no advanced missles. The Germans had the best and only advanced strike missle, the widely known and feared v-1 and v-2. The Americans used missles as ungided support weapons or rocket artillery in in aircraft tanks and ships as support. In the end the us was limited to small unguided rockets then after Hitler's downfall stole and copied Germany's advanced missles and other designs.

How did the telegraph impact the US Civil War and how many were used?

The use of the telegraph greatly impacted the US Civil War. Probably more than earlier European wars, American field generals were able to communicate rapidly with each other and their political leaders in Washington DC and Richmond. The telegraph also allowed President Lincoln and President Jefferson to direct military operations even when these operations were hundreds of miles away. Also the press was able to send news stories about the war from their field positions to their newspapers in Northern or Southern cities. There is no way to determine the number of them sent & received.
