It will make things simpiler for the average joe, but companies don't want it around because it will cost them more and force them to give you insurance for things they don't need to give anything for right now. All the bad things you hear on TV about it are wrong (if you really couldn't see through it though you have to REALLY not like it anyways)
for the most part it is cheaper and better insurance that you will always qualify for.
