Need a little more info on what your trying to replace. Is it the switch in the dash? It's in the overhead console.

# Disconnect and isolate the remote negative battery cable. # Remove the overhead console retaining screw, located in the front of console near the windshield. # Using your fingertips, grasp the sides of the overhead console and pull straight down evenly to disengage the two snap clips at the rear of the unit. # Lower the overhead console far enough to access the wire harness connectors. # Disconnect the control module, courtesy lamps and if equipped, the power sunroof switch electrical connectors. # Remove the overhead console assembly from the vehicle.
If you have a loss of power (blown fuse, replace battery, etc.) you have to reprogram the remote controls and overhead console. Turn ignition off to run 8 times then press button on remote control.
I had taken my 2000 Silhouette in for other problems and since I had it in the shop, I asked about the lamps on the overhead console and on the steering wheel remotes for the radio. They told me that the lamps are not replaceable, but the whole switch has to bed replaced. I thought that this was quite a bummer.
On a Eddie Bauer with sunroof: Pull straight down on the WHOLE assembly, it is held up there by for spring clips..
I figured it out. Upclip the two clips closest to the windshield and move console back toward the read of the cap. There are two L shaped hooks at the read the hook into the top of the cab.

Remove the two Torx screws in the little mirrored compartment pull the whole unit straight down there's two metal spring type clips in the back that need to pop out, they wont break but it does take some Force can you disconnect the electrical connections should be three different clips and then replace the unit
remove the console, you should see some screws on the bottom of the boot, remove, replace boot, replace console
To reset the Power Door: 1 Ignition OFF2 Close door completely - by hand if necessary.3 Doors unlocked4 Power OFF at left overhead console above driver.5 Pull fuse labelled "Tail" - it is the lower left hand blue 15A fuse in glove compartment6 Wait at least 30 seconds7 Replace fuse, wait 10 seconds8 Power ON at overhead console9 Activate 'door open' from either overhead console or door pillar switch10 Wait 5 seconds11 Repeat open/close sequence
