My bike & many others have made the Mod known as "Hole Saw". It is simple. you put a dowel or something in the pipe for the mandrel's centering bit in a hole saw to drill into. Then saw the hole & remove aft baffels. The forward baffle (still there), makes the bike quieter than anti social straight pipes, but now it will sound like a cruiser. Mark

I just purchased a 2002 Honda Shadow Sabre. It did not come with a owners manual and this is my first bike and of coarse I want to take care of it.
There are several different avenues a person can take if they wish to buy a Honda Shadow Spirit 750. The best options are to check with the local classifieds and through approved Honda dealers in the area.
Take the back seat out. Take the front seat out. Take the cover to the battery out.
It really is best to get the pre-mix from your Honda dealer. Can't go wrong with this.
10W30 or 10W40 motorcycle oil is recommended by Honda.
I have a 1986 Honda VT700 Shadow and it uses 10W 40 for most temperature climates. I would think that an '85 would take the same. Hope this helps
you have too take a punch and punch around the baffle itself all the way around till the baffle is free standing then take a pair of pliers and pull it out. i did this personally and it worked wonders.
take out the Radiator and you will find it in a pipe that looks an L
you have to take it to the dealer
If you change your oil regularly and keep up with all scheduled maintenance, there is no reason you can't get a Honda Shadow past +75K - 100K Miles. How you drive it will also play into that (don't race it). Remember, you take care of it and it will take care of you.
About 120mph, give or take. I have the 2002, and that's about as fast as it will go.
