Either your video card or CPU is fried. Try hooking up to an external monitor so you can rule out faulty wiring.
If your screen goes black and you have a gaming laptop, consider getting a powered laptop cooler.
No it causes the black screen of death
Just restart your laptop!
I have a new HP Pavilion dv7-6140eo and the screen has really bad contrast. Larger black areas look greyish. You could adjust the brightness but it does not solve anything. Looks like HP gave us a really bad screen.
Either via remote desktop connection or by attaching a external monitor. If your laptop screen does not show anything - not even a manufacturers/Microsoft logo during start, it is likely your screen is broken. If your laptop-screen shows a very faint picture, it is likely the back light of your laptop screen is broken / disconnected. If however, everything is normal, up to when you would normally see your lo gin screen, but then your screen goes black, it is likely to be a setting on your computer, which you yourself can fix. Please refer to the related link black screen. If you get a new laptop and bring your old laptop to the store you can get the info transferred from the old one to the new one you can also do this with cell phones. Ken Eddy
This is most likely to be caused by the screen backlight not working - you need to get the backlight or inverter replaced.
If your laptop has a black screen but the cursors still there and ctrl plus alt plus dlt works there may be a few issues. This could be a screen issue and bad LCD, loose or disconnected cable, or the backlight can be malfunctioning.
hm
Maybe your Laptop has a virus or maybe it has a many bytes thats why you can't play on roblox.
No, All the current macs are aluminium (silver, grayish colour) The Macbook Pro is black around the screen and the iMacs have a black panel around the screen. You can buy Macbook covers in black, these are like cases that slide over the body of the laptop making them look black
