It depends on how many calories you intake, compared to how many calories you burn. So it is impossible to say.
That dr.Oz guy says to eat as many calories times ten to maintain your weight, for example 235 you would 2350 calories a day
One pound = 3500 calories. Decreasing calories by 500 per day for a week = 3500 calories lost or 1 pound.

I think that depends on how many calories taking in right now. A personal trainer told me to count how many calories you eat in a given day as close as you can and then subtract 500 from that and then continue at that level to lose weight at a safe level.
