I am 5'6" and weigh 119 lbs. I strive to gain weight because I feel like I am too thin and bony. I think it is beautiful for a woman to have a full curvaceous figure, so I would rather weigh more. At 5'11", technically you wouldn't even be considered clinically overweight until you hit the 180 lb mark. Right now your BMI is 14.6, which is underweight (normal BMI is 18.5-25). If you are not getting your period anymore you need to see a doctor right away because this can be very dangerous for your bones, especially if you exercise frequently. Having too low a body weight can also cause very high cholesterol, and it may be difficult for your heart to handle since it thrives on fat.

Some people have a tendency to consider themselves fat even when they are so thin that their body can't keep itself warm. You sound like you may have this disorder, because believe me, no one could ever think that you are fat! If you think you may have this problem I recommend seeing a doctor or psychologist about it, because it is a terrible thing to have to obsess constantly about your weight. Life is so much better if you can just appreciate your body and live a healthy life.

yes i agree, your bmi comes out at a very low 14.8. i am 5ft 11 age 15 and weigh 133 lbs. I can imagine you now as very beautiful and the people around you know it and are jelous. I know its hard to hear but the way you see yourself isn't how people see you. Not eating for weeks is very dangerous, and at your tall height and very low weight is badly putting your life in danger. If you feel you are fat (which i don't agree, you sound perfect and gorgeous the way you are) but i cannot relate to how you feel and i no patronizing doesnt help atall, being told what you don't relise doesnt help. But if you feel you are you must eat, a balanced diet. but just do excersise a few times a week to keep your body toned and healthy.

a healthy BMi is 19. so i suggest you reevaluate why you feel this way and how you can change the way you see yourself.

Feeling comfortable in your self will give you more confidence and bring you in touch with who you really are.
