Chances are you did more than just "bump it". Newer HDD's are very good with dealing with Motion and are reactive.
That said, if you hear clicking or scratching, the hard disks are probably getting ruined and it would be very expensive to get information off of the disks. (Companies that do recovery, transfer the platters to another enclosure to extract data, which requires a clean-room environment) There are many places that do it, but it won't be cheap:
