Control Panel, Add / Remove Programs.
You can't it stays forever you cant remove,so throw your PC out the window.
because there are not any good programs anymore.
you can access common files under program files..
depends what program some programs can open files that were not created with that program but if the person has no programs that can open the file they cant open it
Go into the programs folder in Program Files on your HDD. There should be something like an uninstall.exe. This should also be in the start menu folder that gets added when you install. If you can;t find that then use the add/remove programs featured in windows.
Check with AARP.org. They have many programs for older people.
You probably have to drill out some rivets.

This is a piece of cake!!! Goto Start>Control Panel there select Add/or Remove Programs. A new window opens up! There point to the third tab[dnt remember the name of it] on the left side of the newly opened window.......A new window with titile Windows XP setup says Please wait and adter some time opens a new window...The rest will be on your own now...Cmon take a try cant do the "spoon-feeding" thing!!!
It is probably a Google Chrome extension, go to Chrome Settings, Extensions, then find DefaultTab and uninstall it.
If you cant get it to remove using the uninstall program you can try the following: You can also try Spybot Search and Destroy which you can get from zdnet.com. This is a great free program that will remove spyware and other like programs. Make sure that you do updates and run the program. Also, the program has a tool included called TeaTimer. I turn this tool off at setup only because it can make it hard to install and uninstall programs. A good complimenting program to Spybot is Microsoft's AnitSpyware. It is a free download from microsoft.com's home page. It will also run on a scheduled basis, which is a great way to keep your system clean. If the previous solution doesn't work hopefully you can try this. If you are using Win XP or ME you can go to Start --> Programs --> Accessories --> Systems Tools --> System Restore. When you open the program follow the steps to restore your computer to a date before the program was installed. System Restore will uninstall any programs and clean the registry back to the what your computer was like on that date, it will however not delete documents and other files. If you have to resort to this, or you just want to, I would still follow it up with installing the programs from above. It would be best if you can do this while not connected to the internet and in Safe Mode if possible. Good Luck, Cosmo
