Of course it's going to hurt! It's most likely swollen and trying to heal.
You need to be more specific with your cleaning habits.
You should be cleaning your mouth every time you put any kind of food or drink into it by rinsing with the (gold) Listerine halved with water.
If you get a white ring around the piercing, that's when you should get it looked at.
But it just sounds like you have to clean it better and more frequently....
Its infected... you have to keep moveing it constantly and clean it to avoid this. if its already happened take it out and go see a doctor asap, or say bybye tastebuds. Yellow coloring in the tongue can be an indication that you are overusing mouthwash. Make sure you are using non-alcoholic mouthwash to avoid chemical burning of the tongue, and only rinse after each meal. Yellow DISCHARGE coming from the piercing can be a sign of infection, but not usually a yellow film on the tongue.
It is like some kind of tissue coming out, you need to put some rubbing alcohol on it.
No it's not infected is sounds like it's and allergic reaction. If the jewellery looks like it's hanging in space and the skin has pulled away from the jewellery then it's clearly reacting to something, most likely the after care product you are "cleaning" your piercing with. Quit using whatever it is a flush the piercing with lots of warm water (this should be done in the shower daily) while moving the jewellery back and forth to flush out the irritant. Do this for a few days without using anything other than water to flush the piercing. If the tissue settles down around the jewellery then you have found your problem. If the piercing is still acting up then you need to consider changing the jewellery, unless it's the same jewellery you were pierced with then this shouldn't be and issue.
You more than likely have an infection for normally there should be just slight irritation not necessarily mucus/puss coming out when it is moved. Did you use disinfectant products on the piercing after it was done?
It becomes abnormally inflamed, has pus, is abnormally tender, skin changes colors, or does anything that differs from its usual behavior without a direct cause like a tug, or just getting it pierced.
If you have an odour coming from the piercing I would suggest bathing and cleaning the piercing. You have to maintain a level of hygene for your piercings and your health over all.
No what you have sounds like a reaction to the cleaning product you are using, chances are good the piercing was done with a piercing gun so it's not and infection however that cant be ruled out completely. Go see your doctor.
Stuff shouldn't be coming out of it, just clean it very good
Well you could be catching a cold, you could be female and your cycle is coming up, you could have strained the piercing and it's annoyed. After two weeks swelling flaring up again is not uncommon. Women will have the tongue piercing (or any new piercing for that matter) swell mildly just before the cycle occurs, this is very common. However male piercers are less apt to tell there female clients about the possibility of this occurring (generally they are shy and kinda skiddish around girls tee hee ).
I would advise you not to. Its extremely hard to line up the piercing when doing it yourself, and could wind up coming out crooked. Try going to your local tattoo parlor, or a piercing parlor which uses needles rather than a piercing gun.
whayt do i do whayt do i do HEY. DONT GO TO THE DOCTOR. Why? 1) He will just tell you to take the piercing out. 2) He will misinform you (unless he was a piercer or still is) FIRST THING YOU SHOULD DO: GO TO A PIERCER. wow, simple huh? It's most likely some sort of keloid. i had one on my nose piercing. sometimes they go away (after proper care) or, like mine, it takes tking the jewelry out and letting the pircing heal for it to go away. remeber: -NEVER PUT ANY PETROLIUM-BASED PRODUCTS ON IT, AS IT WILL CAUSE INFECTION. -ALWAYS, I MEAN A L W A Y S RINSE YOUR MOUTH OUT WITH ALCOHOL-FREE, ANTISEPTIC MOUTHWASH. ANTISEPTIC MOUTHWASH. ALWAYS. AFTER EATING. GOT THAT? -BRUSH YOUR TEETH 3 TIMES A DAY!
If pus is coming out then it is infected. Continue to clean it properly and go see your piercer. I had mine done twice and the first time around it was really bad! Now its only been four days that i got it pierced for the second time and i still have pus coming out. I went to the piercer and first he said maybe it was the meatal in the ring, the second time he said it was not the normal size ring and pierced me with a bigger ring! But i still got he same thing!!!! I am never gonna do it again if this happens the second time round!!!!!!
