Being in debt has nothing to do with the reason why you can not get a job. You can not get a job in this depression for some other reason; I have no idea what. Frequently in the United States, the reason is because you are a white male who decided to study social science or humanities and discovered affirmative action exists. Now that you realize your degree is not getting you anywhere, you need to get somewhere in spite of it. You go from there.
You recontact the people you knew from high school and college, especially the ones who have jobs. They may not be able to give you jobs, but they can give you suggestions and help get you on the right track. You take a job to make some money. You don't worry about being a job hopper. At the level where you will be taking a job, you will be in a dead end job and no one expects you to stay in it for long. You are after experience and learning to do the work while earning a little money. You don't work for free.
You get started getting out of your rut and doing something different. Then you might find something you like doing that will make you money. Then you discover what you want to do when you grow up.
