it is most likely the fuse. I have a 1984 jaguar xj6 and i have had the same problem, my fix for it was that the fuse box was messed up and a lot of the fuses have to be half out to work. Just try testing the fuses and moving them around a bit to see if that will re-connect the instruments.
It is not difficult. First you have to remove the 12vot cigarette lighter plastic and then remove the radio. 4 screws for the radio. Then you have to remove the panel that goes from the radio up to the instrument cluster. This panel has 4 screws. 2 of them are on top of the instrument cluster (visible) and the other two should be visible after removal of radio.
The fuse that controls your Instrument cluster on a 2000 silverado is going to be linked with your radio fuse. Look in the fuse box under the hood, (upper right hand side, driver side) and look for a fuse labeled radio. It should be a 10 amp. If it is good, then cluster and radio fuse is good.
it could be the instrument control panel cluster that's what is wrong with mine
You have to remove the vent & bezel assembly from below the radio first, then the entire dash bezel from around the instrument cluster & radio.
It sounds like a wiring issue. There could be a loose wire on the instrument cluster, on behind the fuse block.
You have to remove the vent & bezel assembly from below the radio first, then the entire dash bezel from around the instrument cluster & radio.
You can get the radio codes, for your 1993 Jaguar, from most Jaguar dealerships. The radio codes can be obtained from most auto-parts stores.
The fuse panel is located under the driver's side instrument cluster. Replace fuse labeled "acc"
Depends on the model year. Also, are you trying to remove the dash with the instrument cluster, or the center console with the HVAC and radio?
You need to remove the cupholder*4 screws* and lower the cigaret lighter and cup holder underneath are two bolts, remove the two bolts.Remove the fuse cover and you will see four screws remove the two outer screws and pull out the radio unit and the vents. When you remove the radio cluster will show two screws holding instrument cluster bezel.Near the the door is a vent held by clips use a flat screwdriver to remove the vent.Just pull the instrument cluster bezel and it will come off.
1. disconnect negative battery cable and wait 2 minutes (this disarms the airbag circuit while you work in that area). Remove the left end cover by pulling outward. Tilt steering column down to lowest position. remove instrument cluster center bezel (around radio and environmental controls) by disengaging 4 clips (2 on top and one on each side). 2. Remove 4 instrument cluster hood mounting screws. Three screws are located behind the center bezel and one screw is located at the left end of the hood. Pull on hood to disengage hood and remove instrument cluster hood. Pull instrument cluster rearward to disengage 8 clips and disconnect wiring connectors from panel. Remove instrument cluster.
