I have a 1997 Jeep Wrangler Sport with an annoying rattle coming from behind the dash - any ideas on how to fix thios...anyone?

It's your Transfer case shifter knocking. Go here and fix it. http://www.4x4xplor.com/T-CaseTSB.html
It's an easy fix and only takes about a half hour.
