I have a 2002 Nissan Frontier with a loose steering wheel cover like an adhesive has released Can I inject an epoxy somehow?

I had a similar problem with my 1994 Opel Calibra. The steering wheel grip was loose around the top of the steering wheel so I cut around the inside of the steering wheel cover with a box cutter to expose the internal metal ring then injected "Selleys Liquid Nails" via the glue gun nozzel into the thin gap around the bar. After that I wound insulating vinyl tape tightly around the grip in a spiral motion while at the same time holding the cut grip cover together. Once wound up I left it to harden and didn't drive the car for about three days before unwinding the tape. The excess glue on the outside surface of the cover peeled off very easily and there was hardly any evidence of the cut line once I unwound the tape. In a couple of places I could just feel the join so I used fine sand paper to smooth the joint. The result was 100% with no more movement in the grip. Regards Ivan
