You can sell it to anyone. Just trim it up nicely (only the lower half of the branches or fronds). If you trim above this, it will injure the tree. Take a nice picture and list it on your local Craigslist as "You dig and it's yours." If you did a good jobtrimming it and took a nice picture, it'll be gone in no time. Alternatively, you can also just keep the palm! You may want after seeing how much better it looks nice and trimmed up!

It depends what type of palm tree you have. Some palm trees like the shade and others dont. Some like the type of soil that a lemon tree thrives in and others that would die.
