where are you located as i need a starter for my 87 323
how do i remove the starter motor Mazda rx8
There should be an alignment pin on each side of the transmission/motor edge. Sometimes these can be stuck. A flat blade screwdriver can be used to separate the transmission from the motor. GENTLY tap it between the two.
in a v6 its in between the motor and the firewall in the drivers side.
It depends on the car as it can be located on either side of the engines in different makes. The starter motor can be found lower on the back side of the engine where the engine and transmission meet. The starter needs to engage the flywheel which is where the transmission mounts.
the starter is on the driver side in the front of the motor near the transmission.
I think it's depending on the vehicle, there may be a spacer between the starter and the motor. There may be a shield between the starter and the transmission housing if your starter is bolted to the transmission.
The starter is located under the front drivers side of the motor next to the Transmission. It can be found by the motor mount.
on the E16i motor the starter is underneath the fuel injection throttle body on the driver's side on top of transmission on the E16i motor the starter is underneath the fuel injection throttle body on the driver's side on top of transmission
The starter is placed center under the Mazda 3 for easy access to the battery connection and the flywheel. You need to remove the plastic shroud under the car to reach it.
I am having the same problem with my 1993 Mazda 626. If you don't feel up to the challenge, take it in to a pro! But my best advice is: Disconnect your battery. There should be 3 or 4 bolts holding your starter motor to your vehicle... take those off. Remove the wires going into the starter. Then you should have something going into your firewall. Do your best to jimmy it out of the hole, and your starter should come free. Sound simple, but it may take you anywhere from 10 min to 3 hours. OH.. to find your starter, follow the + cable from your battery.
The location of a starter on a Plymouth Fury will depend on the year. Most older Plymouth Furys have the starter located just under the driver's side of the motor where the transmission is bolted to the motor. The starter must engage the flywheel and the flywheel is located in the large bell shape of the transmission.
