a sportage must have a big warrenty and prob find its under that?
i thought it was in line with fuel rail,,should see 50 cent size round object with vacuum line near fuel rail.
does it crank? assuming you already narrowed it down to a fuel system issue have you thought about it being the fuel pressure regulator?
if it has the same body style as from 1995 thru 2002 ,then yes. I did not think they made a 2003 sportage, production supposedly stopped at the end of 2002 and new style came in in late 2004, i thought.
Vortex engine? Got me. I thought Vortex was just a brand of supercharger. I believe you mean Vortec engine.. GM also called this the L31 (they use 3 letter/number codes for everything) This system used a SCPI (Sequential Central Port Injection) system... and the fuel pressure regulator is on the central unit, which is INSIDE the intake manifold- you have to remove the upper intake manifold to get at it (plastic part), and the Fuel pressure regulator will be on one side of the central unit where all the fuel lines go to, it has a tube on it open to the intake manifold (to read intake vacuum)
Yes it will. That happened to my wifes car. The mechanic replaced the pump and it still had the same problem. Replaced the fuel pump regulator and still the same problem. The problem was the ignition switch was shorted and the car thought it was being stolen and shut off the fuel pump. Hope it helps!
I had to try one additional part. I thought the pressure regulator resolved my problem. With an outside temperature at 45 degrees the car started up great. An outside temperature at 65 degrees caused the car to stall after the initial start-up. The intake air temperature sensor ($16.00) was replaced and this solved my problem.
which beatle was thought to be dead and replaced by a look-alike?That would be Paul.Sir James Paul McCartneySir James Paul McCartney
Pressure waves.
Over 7000 pressure groups are thought to operate in the UK.
I think the prevailing thought is after 300-500 miles.
I had the same problem. The dealer told me that i had a bad "rectifying regulator" (I thought it sounded made up). they replaced it for like $45 and i didn't have that problem anymore. if you have a dealer you can trust ask him about it.
had to replace mine on my 96 explorer ,it will start for a second then stop, rough idling, thought it was my timiing replaced it now it runs great. ----------------- Check the fuel pressure also.
