( 2 ) there is your instrument panel fuse box and the power distribution box in your engine compartment by your battery , that also has fuses and relays in it
Check the drivers manual, it will show you what fuses are for what.
Yes - The passenger compartment fuse panel and the Power Distribution Box in the engine compartment ( drivers side beside battery ) Usually the Ford owners manuals show to disconnect the battery cables before servicing anything in the PD BOX but it doesn't show that in the 1996 Ford Contour owners manual ( www . motorcraft service . com - no spaces - click on Owner Guides if you need to look at the owners manual - fuses and relays diagrams start at page 235 ) - Helpfull
It is located in front of the battery, it is a plastic box with fuses and relays
The power distribution box under the hood. The middle of three big fuses. The 60 AMp.

There are fuses under the dash panel ,and under the hood near the battery are the (power distribution) high amperage fuses which mostly are for the ignition system, wiper motor.
passenger kick panel, and in the trunk beside battery also under the hood passenger side.

in the fuse box in engine bay beside battery on the under side of fuses,its soldered in to the printed board
If its anything like my 03 town and country all the fuses are under the hood beside the battery. Hope it helps.
